Back at it again

Haven't had a solid colony of Tropheus in a while. All of the recent variants I've kept were too small or inconsistent in color. So I'm starting back again. I recently purchased a new 120 drilled tank. This is my first brand new large tank and first drilled tank. Last night I got my stand. Tomorrow I start with sump had plumbing materials.

Equipment: 120 RR black trim and black stand
48" Quad Bulb Coralife HOT5
Crushed Coral Aragonite (Plan to lay thick bed for scape purposes)
30 Gallon Custom Sump with micron socks and bio balls. Mag 12.
Will add some type of HOB or Can if I find good deal on one.
Scape: Round/Oval rocks. Will be layed thick.

Fish: 40 Wild Mpulungu. (There's a story behind this, but they were importer by three sources).

Powerhead. I am not sure if I will use one.

Will start art posting pics in a day or so.

Had a delay. I bought a stand that was supposed to be 48 by 24. The guy who was selling lives right by a friend so I sent my friend who knows absolutely nothing about fish tanks to pick it up. When he brought it it was a stand for 90 gallon. So I have to make a DIY this weekend until I modify the 90 gallon one. I just ordered my light bulbs. Going with 2 6500k and 2 10000k. Will see how color combo is. I will post pictures this weekend.

That sucks bro. If your gonna DIY a stand, DIY a stand that you'll continually use. Don't mod the 90 gallon stand, sell it.

That truth Josiah and shouldn't take long to build just a stand , get some 2x4 from Home Depot or Lowes and a sheet of plywood then put them together.

These fish are from three sources. Jason had some from Rene. He almost lost the colony. I got six. One male in the group. Then I ordered 3m/7f from Tyrone at TNT. Vinny ordered 24 from Alison (5m/19f) and both of us said our colonies were too small. I decided to sell mine to vinny. His fish came in. They were too small for his taste, however he came over and was buying them. Then he randomly asked if I wanted to buy his. I agreed. Apparently most moops come in small. And these are no exception. One fish is under 3" and the average size is 3-3.5". They have already been breeding. I'm gonna beef them up.
