I am currently in the process of building a fish room, so I thought I'd start a thread to chronicle that process.
Background: We've been using a couple of rooms at the front of our house for offices for both my wife and myself. Originally they were a formal sitting room and dining room, but we really have no use for either. Last March we had a flood in the house (not aquarium-related!) and had to remodel 70-75% of the downstairs. The offices weren't part of that. I had several tanks in my office already; during the course of the remodel we had to move several and temporarily keep them in my office. It was packed pretty full, and ended up stuffed to the gills. Some before pictures:
The last picture is the space that was my wife's office, and you can still see evidence of its previous life as a dining room. These pictures were taking about three weeks ago. Next step was to rip out the carpet and start painting.
