Sorry, I should say I pour concrete for a collar around the pond to support heavy rock and people standing on the edge of the pond.
the contractor take free dirt for his other project, so it is a win-win for both parties.
I will do a frame with cinder block and dirt in the middle for my water fall which is about 5-6ft tall.

Thanks, I was very proud of those ponds.

About the holey rock... I may have a lot to give away, just need to see how it goes. I will definitely let you know if I do.

Originally, I was going to do a pit to hold the pumps for my old ponds, but decided to build a little pump house. It held the pumps, had an electric panel with outlets of 4 separate GFIs, so that if one pump went out the other would still be going. Also, had a light and room to store some tools, etc. The top and front panel opened to allow access. Just thought it might give you some ideas....

I will build me a little house like that to hide all sand/gravel filters, all pumps and my zakki sieve as well. But i will have flat slope open up roof and sliding door due to narrow access - too close to the back fence.

Sounds like a good plan, look forward to seeing how it turns out!

due to the fact that pond equipment is expensive, each filter is like $1500, I have to do it slow and get advice from koi expert, it is taking me a little bit longer than it should.

Toni, can you make those gravity filters using the 55 gallon barrels. My brother in law used to keep Koi. He made the filter system out of (2) 55 gallon barrels in series. Filter media is very flexible for whatever you want to use to fill up the barrel. Lastly you need is a big pump to power it. :emt_thumbs:

Yes, I will have 2 sand and gravel filter made from 55g barrels, but the pre filter is a zakki sieve whích is a ltitle costly. You can go with cheap way, however, it will require high maintenance.

I just placed an order for liner, pump and everything. They will be here in two week. Hopefully Houston weather will play nice, so i can put everything together and let it run soon.
