Had a pet shop in the 80's down South of Houston. Never thought I'd ever get back into aquariums, but my wife and son love the Cichlids. Happy home happy life.
We've quickly got a 165 and 150 to go with the 55 we originally got for the "gold fish".
Trying to find Victorian's to go with Peacocks and a few Hap's.
So far I'm sticking with an all male review and some of these guys are really hard to find.
My short list of those most wanted include:
    Aulonocara hueseri
    Iodotropheus sprengerae Rusty
    Labidochromis freibergi
    Labidochromis strigatus
    Copadichromis sp. "Mloto Fluorescent"

    Victorian's:
    Paralabidochromis sp Fire (Fire Uganda)
Xystichromis sp. Kyoga flameback (All Red)
    Enterochromis paropius
Haplochromis sp. "all red" (Lake Edward)
    Haplochromis sp. "flame-back"
    Yssichromis sp. "blue tipped"

Anyone seen any of these floating around let me know. Tank space limited so I need "sex known" males.
Thanks for the help. Trying to stay away from mail order as the ones I've contacted won't verify male or female and they primarily ship "2-3 inch sex not verified" species.

I know you wanted to stay away from mail order but I would try davesfish.com he is out of San Antonio. He ships to me in Houston for $10 plus box $10. E-mail him your list sometimes he has stuff in stock he doesn't list on his web site or knows where he can get some. Also on his web site it might say juveniles unknown sex but he doesn't get around to updating it so sometimes the juveniles have matured and he can sex them just e-mail him or call. I have better luck calling him sometimes it take a few days to get back to your e-mails.

I've heard so many things good about Dave's I went ahead and e-mailed him to see what they could work up.
I'll keep you posted and in the meantime I'll figure out how to get pictures of the tanks and fish.
