I habe GBR, black skirt tetra, neon tetra, 2 eels, angels, plecos and cory.

They look "normal" for dead fish, maybe slightly red stomach but not veins or cuts.

Here is a pic of the last cory (which may be dead I cant see it, I had a dead neon this morn). Is that band on his head normal ? Its blurry as he was active as hell last night when I took it.

The Eels have been out since last night, they dont appear aggressive.

I never thought about cutting it open, if this one is dead I will have a gander and cut it open.

Check your heater for any cracks. Have had a few do that and the fish acted very agitated

electricity I believe is what will 'leak'. the gold band as well as the black band are normal for that species. What are GBR?

Could it be food will fall through the substrate and gets unreachable for these marvelous looking friends!!
Inactivity and overactivity sound like temporary ammonia spikes that can occure in or just above the substrate "reaching" the Corys first. That would explain they are looking healthy to me. Regards Aad

I've had a few heaters over the years crack and fill with water and shock the fish. Iy wasn't until I put my hand in the tank that I realized what it was. The fish acted normal and lived normal lives after changing the heaters.

LOL, indeed. Figured it was a long shot, but with the erratic behavior and unexplained deaths might be something that could be a possible cause. You'll quickly notice when you put your hand in the tank.

It was a long shot, but figured I'd say it just in case. FYI it makes you tingle all over and a very strange sensation. You'd notice. Hopefully its all finished running its course
