Looking for Advice on how to best mount Driftwood coming from top down in fish tanks.

Like the title says, looking to set up a CA/SA tank with driftwood branches coming down from above. Trying to work out the best way to mount it. I know Darbex when he had discus in his big tank had done something like this, just looking for input as to ways to do it.

Most of my driftwood is mounted to slate. I have had branches mounted with fishing line and fishing weights. With a screw in hook at the top. Out of the water.

mount on a sheet of plexiglass, cut the plexiglass to fit on the aquarium like a glass tank top for the exact width but shorter than the length
