Well, since it was new driftwood in there and the tapajos were digging their trenches, the driftwood floated wigglers were eaten on the open terrain. Went ahead and relocated the driftwood and did a WC. Daughter woke everybody up this morning to give the news of new eggs laid. See if we have better luck this time

        Daughter crossing her fingers...lol
Noticed that one of the parents has a mouth full and is moving his mouth around without opening it and the other is fending of any intruders.

Awesome, my tapajos just laid again and I have.wigglers now. Dad just sucked em up. I lost all but 6 on the last batch. Those 6 though are up to 1.5 inch

Well, i've got 7 tapajos and got lucky with 3 pairs. All three pairs laid eggs like crazy but think they ate them. Son decided to take matters into his own hands and stripped a female today. Estimating between 60-100 little wigglers. Got them in a breeder net now. see how this route turns out......lol

mine would lay eggs and then i would notice both parent holding them for a few days. one of the pairs did release them and they were swimming around before they scooped them back up. do yours look like they are holding ?

No beto. They don't but who knows. She's still being really defensive of the rock where the eggs were. I'm clueless.

Oh and they're still displaying their breeding colors and fighting everyone. Just strange.
