  • Gutting a biocube

Has any ever gutted a biocube to use it as a holding tank for fry? I was wondering if I could gut it and add it to my system but instead of a refugium, I could keep the same water with the same bacteria as the tank as the parents of the fry.

Never gutted a biocube for this but fry systems are often linked to the tank with the breeding pair. Just remember that if something goes wrong with either tank the other will also have issues. For that reason, it is advised to keep fry tanks independent.
