Did my weekly water changes today. Daddy helled all the baby's the intire time. After I was finished he spit them out.

Question for you Troy. My tapajo fry are 3 weeks and I left them in with parents. They are the only fish in the 40. Today I noticed significantly less fry. Like from 80 to 40. Have sponges over filter intake. Don't see dead fry. Could parents be eating them getting ready to breed again? I'm at a loss

Checked this morning only about 20 left now. Parents and cleaning a rock and male is chasing the female. Looks like they want to breed again

Yep. That is what they are doing.
How many times a day are you feeding?

I feed fry 3 or 4. Parents twice.

So how do I prevent them from eating fry. Thought they were good parents

Wow. I don't know, I don't think I have lost 1. I do try to feed three times a day. But work has been getting in the way f
of my fish lately. Or I would make an offer on your discus.

A few new pictures of the babies. They are growing fast.

Watch for parents eating them after 3 weeks in tank. Mine have done that twice.

They are 4 weeks today parents haven't eaten any of them. I'm not sure why yours eat their fry. It could be they were not raised by their own parents. So they don't know how.
