Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Lol watching these guys school/shoal makes the tank look empty. I need at least 100 in there.

            Re: Exodon Paradoxus

Witnessed some odd behavior when I cut out the lights. One of them was swimming in loops ridiculously fast and then swam normally. I'm thinking he probably got caught in the current or maybe he's very special.

Yeah! It must be something in Houston tap water that makes them go nuts! I've been doing water changes everyday now and each time they get crazier! Right now they're chasing each other and trying to bite each other. Some of them are jumping out of the water and swimming around. What a bunch of psychos! It's cool because since they're acting all crazy, my plecos are out and about instead of being lazy and staying in one spot.

Added 6 Astyanax Bimaculatus to dither them and it's working really well! Planning to get another 6 to add to the biotope. Who said Exodons have to be a species only tank?!

Updates! Bimaculatus are the ones swimming near the top. It's amazing how they're just as aggressive, but lack the weapon the exodons have. Last one is during feeding time. Fed them 2 tsp of NLS 1mm before the video and 1/2 tsp after the beefheart. These guys remind me of a carnivorous troph/petros of SA.

Keep in mind that there's one 3200gph powerhead on each side and the pump is about 400gph after head loss and going through 1.5" PVC. Even the little ones are swimming through the tank easily.
