I was in hardcore long time ago, did all the LE/ORA zoas and sps but its boring compared to some of the fw tanks. The SPS/Zoa tank took tank of the month on marshreef back then and I think my other macroalgae planted tank took TOTM on another forum.

                30g cube tank

                30g wave box tank.
I have always wanted the Tunze wavebox but even the wait for the nano wavebox was a waste since it was not technically designed for Nano tanks... With that here is what I dreamt up and Kyle at Sapphire Aquatics help make into reality for me. Tank 48"x 12"x 12" (viewable from 3 sides) Tunze 6055 T...

                  Top down action

There's a few other Maxi-minis that are really cool but I messed up and tried placing them where I wanted without having the light finished yet and now they've moved into holes and caves so getting a picture of them is impossible.

BTW this is the misses tank, in order for me to have my monster tank she got her spongebob tank.

Dang dude. Nice write ups!!! Gives me a headache thinking about all of the parameters. That is the first salt tank I've seen with live plants.

Yeah it was relatively new to have macro as a display back when that tank was alive but it has a pretty decent following and more support with macro now on that forum.

I think all the vid links were removed or blocked but here's a vid of it in the early stages.

That's some mad movement in the water. Does that simulate tidal movement or life on the beach? I know saltwater fish pretty much do everything based on tidal movement including breeding, so does that wave maker help with breeding purposes?

It wasn't as extreme as you would think and there wasn't much in there that would breed since nothing was paired up.

It did make for a nice view since all the macro algae would sway, the fish seemed more active than normal but other than that it was all the same.

Now when I set my old Troph tank on wave mode they seemed to enjoy it a lot more than my sw tanks.
