Well...when I started this I told myself that I was doing it at least in part to make really cool fish available. What I'm about to do is along those lines. Here goes...
Some of you might remember some of the wild caught Tanganyikan group buys/orders. I want to do something like that. In my next post I'm going to post a list of 140 items that I have the opportunity to order wild caught from India. There are things on this list that you are not likely to find elsewhere and, if if you do, they won't be wild caught. To give you some idea of what we're dealing with...one of the species is the American Cichlid Association Endangered Species Program logo species. It's really cool stuff. Some of it you will have to look up, Google, whatever...Now, here's the catch. I have a limited amount of time to get this order in. So...here's how this needs to work. The list has 5 columns. They are fairly self explanatory but let me elaborate on them as its important. The size column is in centimeters. The "min ord" column is what I need you, members and guests of the box to order to make it worth getting them. The "$/each" column is just that...your cost per fish. Shipping is included. Now for the hard part....obviously the quantities are more than most hobbyists need for personal use. To make the minimum order you guys (and gals) probably need to communicate with each other and split bags however many ways you need to. That way if its a bag of 40 and there's 4 of you you can each take 10, etc. However you want to divide them. But...I want you to be the ones to organize whos getting what and if you're splitting stuff please make one person responsible for calling me or PM'ing me with the order. In other words I dont really have time to look for someone who wants just a few of something to complete a bag...I'm hoping ya'll can do that so it doesn't become a logistical nightmare for me. Here's the other catch...all orders must be finalized and to me by 8pm on Wednesday April 4th. The fish should arrive sometime on Monday, April 16th. I would appreciate it if when splitting bags, one person could pay me and one person (the same person) could pick up the fish. Payment will be due when you pick up the fish and the fish must be picked up on April 16th unless I make prior arrangements with you. This is because ordering is not necessarily receiving and I don't want to take payment on fish that I might not necessarily receive. Hopefully we won't have a lot of DOA's and I'll deal with those on a case by case basis. As I think of any other pertinent information I'll post it in this thread and please feel free to use this thread to chat back and forth on getting together with others on the different species...Now, let me recap...
1) All fish are WILD CAUGHT
2) The minimum must be met on each bag
3) Orders are due by 8pm on April 4th
4) Shipment is due to arrive on April 16th
5) Payment is due when you pick up the fish
I hope this goes well...I have no idea how many of you might want to get in on this but its some really cool stuff and you can certainly say you have stuff no one else has...
