  • Tylo Questions...

I have been reading over their profiles (numerous specie, but all similar) and was wondering how they would fare in a hard water tank housing a large Ornate Bichir? He is very big, but I doubt he would eat them. They just appear a bit too large/undigestable, though this is entirely me own opinion. Anyone ever kept these with Africans? Thought it might add a bit of something to a normally specie only tank. (Tim had some assassin's in with his African cichlids and that was what made me start thinking about it as an option)
    Any species you would recommend?

I've successfully kept Tylomelania snails with Cyprichromis, Eretmodus, Xenotilapia, and Petrochromis. I think you'd be okay with most africans (aside from Labrochromis ishmaeli and Ptyochromis sp.). Both africans and the Tylo. snails like hard water.

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
