  • WTB (want to buy) 75 gallon freshwater

    I am looking for a gently used freshwater setup (complete) for a good price. I am watching various classifieds but have not found the right one yet. I prefer a canister filter and not a sump. I also prefer a wider tank and not a really tall one.
    Jarrod - Houston, Texas
    150 gallon - my African cichlid monster tank (I know it isn't a big as yours)
    17 gallon - Threadfin rainbows and corys lightly planted
    5 gallon - planted red cherry shrimp breeder
    3 gallon - planted red cherry shrimp breeder

      Sorry, that is 2 gallons more than I asked for. (sorry, couldn't resist)

      Possibly... Some of those bow fronts are a little too tall or a little too deep.

      What are the dimensions? Do you have photos? What is included.

          Ive got a standard 75 oceanic tank and stand for $150. Stand is sanded down completely and ready for paint/stain. No filters, no lights just tank and stand.

            You do mean that this is 3 Gallons "less" than what you asked for. (sorry I couldn't resist.) Also, what do you consider is a "good" price? Your idea of a good price may be diffrent than someone else. Lastly, what do you mean by "complete". What exactly are you expecting to have come with the tank?

              L = 48"
              W = 12" on the sides, 18" in the middle
              H = 22"

              Stand 31" tall

              I cannot take a picture right now but here is what one looks like. Click on the 72 black trim.

              Tank is currently up and running. I have the regular light that comes with it. I also have a 48" coralife light with moon lights (4X65W) if interested. Has glass tops for tank, canopy, and an eheim 2217 if interested with cycled media in it.

                  May I suggest unless you are really not wanting the extra 3" of extra height to the tank look at 90 gallon tanks too.. I see them all the time on craigslist and here for some really good prices :)

                    I have not ruled it out, but for me a 75 gallon already seems huge.

                    That said, I am sure my third tank will end up being a 250.

                      To me the 90 and the 75 are almost the same tank. The 90 just gives you more glass to look at which I am always fond of :)
