Re: Collecting local plants
NASH just recently went on a collection trip. Hmm, well, I guess it was in November. Oh well. Here's one of the threads about it:
HoustonFishBox is an online community dedicated to bringing together people and their fish in Houston, Southeast Texas, and beyond.
The only places I've been around Houston for plants are just numerous locations on Buffalo Bayou. Have collected some near downtown, and also near Highway 6. Oh, and various roadside ditches, too. But I haven't found one terrific place yet. San Marcos, now that's a different story! :)"Millennium hand and shrimp!"

Only fully aquatic plants I've seen are the tons and tons
of Hornwort there in Herman Park.

Rolled out a tiny wooden platform with
dark, hard, dark rubber wheels.

MarkWhat are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.
