  • L046; Hypancistrus Zebra

Hey guys, I recently got a colony of these plecos and finally rescaped my tank too.

Here are some pictures I took.

Male chillin in around his new cave.

What I think is a female, just haggin out with another smaller female zebra.

    Male standing guard!

Hopefully this is a female checking out a male's cave. But most likely a male b/c there are long hairs on the pectoral fin.

Let me know what you guys think! :)

I think they are 46s....not 64s. Nice pics. I'm envious.
    Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

          Hey Mike!

          I have a total of 14 I hope....at least that's how many I put in there.

Half of them hide in places I can't see so I can never get a head count. I just hope no one dies bc they been fighting a lot trying to settle into their caves.

Thanks miggy. I had been trying to move those BR tropheus for a while to make room for these plecos.

What do you mean where are the suriyu stones? All I have in the tank are suriyus. I'm only using around 175 pounds. I have maybe another 150 pounds. But those are all really big rocks.

Here is a cheapo phone pic I took of the new scape. I was debating between a natural scape vs. breeding scape and decided to go with a breeding friendly set up.

Nahhhh, they in my 75g at my house. Elos sitting empty at my apartment. My plan is to set up the elos when I move back home and move the plecos.

None of them have ever bred (that I know of) so can't say for sure which are males or females. From looking at all the clues....ratio appears to be 5m/9f. Those 5 males also hide in caves so I'm decently sure of ratio.
