    Whats going on HFB?!?!

It has been a while but I have returned, I'm not sure I will be remembered but I haven't forgot about this place.

I sold all my aquariums a while back due to working out of town. I went from 325 gallons worth of tanks to none.

But I am back! I help one of my friends with his company (Aquarium Dreams sorry for the plug) and I had a 18x18x17 I think 24 gallon cube sitting around so I asked for it, he hooked me up with a lid, filter and air pump.

I cant wait to set it up, only problem is I have no where to put it as of yet... but I will set it up soon!!

I'm debating on a planted, shrimp, cory cat and tetra tank.I don't have a light yet and I cant spend to much on one, any recommendations?

    Thanks

      Welcome back to the box!

I keep hearing about these Home Depot flood lights and supposedly they're cheap and good to use? I honestly have no clue about them though. They just always seem to pop up when the "cheap" and "plant lights" come up in a thread.

Yeah... I personally wouldn't use them, but they've done good for others.

i have 20" T5HO fixtures over my 18" tanks, a dual fixture doesnt seem to have the PAR I want so i will be going with a quad soon. The PAR38 lamp that Sunny used might be a lower cost choice but I have never personally used them. There arent many good low cost solutions for good lighting on smaller than 24"W aquaria.
