Description:
Recently it has been suggested that there are three genus of discus being S. Discus, S. Aequifasciatus and S. Tarzoo with the later DNA having more differences from the first two. Red Spotted Green Discus is from the same genus of Aequifasciatus that most people consider the common discus line that is bred to produce the many other variants. Red Spotted Discus is one of the few wild caught variants. There colors can vary from a red body to an ocean blue with turquoise fins but the main identifier are the red spots on the body of the fish.
