Worried about a fish.

We have a lionhead that has started to just sit on the bottom of the tank. Is this normal? The Fiance is scared he isnt doing well and I dont know anything about goldfish behavior.

Its not particularly normal, what are your parameters? Adding some salt can help a bit occasionally to help pick them up.

Goldfish (even fancies) are very active, constantly patrolling the tank looking for food. If he's bottom sitting, something's not right. I'm guessing that you started this tank up recently and it's not cycled yet. If you've got test kits, check the ammonia & nitrite levels. If you don't, the best option is a big water change.

All the parameters were in good standing. The other fish was doing fine. Did a 90% water change. He was dead morning. The other guy is doing peachy. Just added a bristlenose pleco and he is doing good too. Maybe it was just a sick fish.
