    2.5g start up questions.

    Ok this is the real thread for my 2.5g tank.

    I am wondering about my substrate choice. It's pretty light and seems to be really dusting everything in the tank. Is this a problem or just a aesthetic issue?

    what is it?
    my fish house:
    2.5g- ramshorn hatchery
    6g eclipse- yellow shrimp, chili rasboras, yellow apple snails
    29g- geo grow-out, angels, 12"fire eel, dwarf frog, apple snails
    45g- jade sleeper gobies, native killifish, feeder endlers
    75g-     2 oscars, parrot, silver dollars, albino channel cat, syno euptera, bichir, baby jaguar, convicts, yabby
    125g- fahaka puffer, rainbow shark
    and about a dozen bettas....

                  That is, in fact, a tank. Yep. On point.
                  180g - 2 Red Oscars, 1 Tiger Oscar, 1 JD, Convicts, convicts & more convicts
                  75g - 1 Silver Aro, 1 Mean Koi Angel
                  50g - Various platy & mollies
                  10g - 1 Green Spotted Puffer

                      what was the sand labeled as?

                      It looks really really fine to me to be used in a sw tank. I would imagine compacting would be a major issue with this one.

                        I swapped out the old incandescent for some led pretty pretty.

                            +1 Looks like sand that would better suit a fw tank. Might want to swap it out or put a bunch of snails in.
