  • should I add reef buffer or not?

    I been running my nano reef tank for a while now, and when I started it I was adding the Kent nano reef buffers but my dkh was high, I stop dosing that and now this are the parameters

    dkh = 8
    PH 7.8
    salinity 1.025~1.026

    should I leave it like it is or should I add reef buffer to increment the PH, but it will probably also add to the hardness.

      it is a nano 10g, and well it has a ATO constantly keeping the water level on check, using RO/DI water.

        I never use the kent nano reef buffer. I used the kent super buffer dkh powder when I have my 20 gallon nano and use oceanic salt. I stop dosing the tank when I changed to red sea coral pro salt. You may want to dose a tiny bit to bump up the alkalinity, maybe a drop or 2.
