  • Help! Large outbreak

    was looking at my tank today and notice that there was a whole bunch of these things everywhere on the live rocks through out the tank

    what should i do? leave them or treat them?

      get a 6 line wrasse.. it is supposed to eat that kind of stuff

          Looks like little sponges. If so they are harmless filter feeders. But can't really see pics well.

                  Well I'm not sure I haven't done a lot of research on them but I have some here and there. I've seen people post they usually get them in their overflow boxes and stuff. They don't really do anything but filter water. You could try removing them or the fish thing. But more than likely they will diminish eventually. They tend to pop up within the first 6 months of starting a tank. IMPO I wouldn't worry about it for now.
