  • Mexicana Molly

I was at Fish Gallery today and saw a fish I was not expecting to see. They were listed as Mexicana Mollies, I thing these are Poecilia mexicana a species from northern Mexico that I have read about, but never seen before. These are short fin Mollies, the males are dark with the tail fin outlined in orange. The females and sub domiate males are plain.

I've seen these before and indeed an overlooked variant.
