  • Panda Guppies

I couldn't resist. I picked up 3 pairs of panda guppies from FG today.I just love the shorter tails. It's been a little while since I've kept some nice domestic guppies. I'll post pics when I get a chance.

When I was breeding livebearers I really wanted some of these.

Awesome that someone finally has them locally and as expected FG comes through with some of the nicer fish!

They move way too fast to take a good pic. I think a fellow hobbyist brought them in. There are still a few more pairs at FG.

I did some rechecking with Don at FG. He wasn't there the day I got the guppies. It turns out they weren't locally bred. He got them from from one of his suppliers for wild bettas.
I love the wild tail forms. I like the way they swim compared to the longer fin varieties. I've heard the Pandas stay on the smaller side. You really have to see them in person to appreciate the hughes of blue and purple and green when the light hits them. They also have a pinkish base color overlayed with silver over the belly and head.
