  • 15 gallon rimless

    just ran a wet test on it. Only thing wrong is a leak on the intake line to the sump. The male thread is leaking a bit so Teflon tape will fix that no problem. Here are some pics

    still needs a lil bit of cleaning. lost my razor blade so i couldnt get the silicon off >.>

    the leak is on this side :P can't see it to dark!

    return

    and now the 20 gallon sump. I'm using a maxi jet 1200 for a return and a bak pak skimmer in the sump.

    What's the plan with it?

      Going hardcore reef with it and maybe get a pair of expensive clowns or a pair of mandarin gobies that will except frozen. I just gotta get a 4x24 T5 fixture, 2 maxi jet 1200s, black live sand and a few extra pounds of live rock and it's ready to roll. I'm using my 10 gallon frag tanks sand for the fuge and the maco algae will just be slapped in there.

          SPS and I'll try my luck with a maximus clam. I'll throw in some LPS and some softies for kicks and gigs.

            Lol, hey I actually like LPS and softies.

            They actually move around.

            Watching SPS is like watching a stick garden. :)

                  That would be a cool mix tank!

                  Are you doing to dose the tank?

                    Usually I wouldn't dose a tank this small but, the added volume may cause me to do so.

                      The smaller tank might force you to IME.

                        IME as long as you keep up with weekly water changes your essential elements are replaced. I luckily have 150 gallons worth of reef crystal left so weekly water changes isn't a big issue.

                          but you're wanting to do dominantly SPS and two maxima.... long term I think you will find water changes will not suffice.

                            bump up a few posts and you'll see I out ruled myself and decided to go more LPS, softies and a few SPS :P The clams, it's a matter of finding a decent one that looks healthy.
