Anyone breeding these or seen them at the LFS around town?

They made be listed under their common name Leopard frog Pleco.

I'm really interested on how these compare to L046.

I had two a long time ago, fish gallery brought in some a while back too.

They are real nice for those not able to afford L046 but the colors aren't as predominate.

How much where they at FG?

I think they are good looking in their own way.

Might set up my elos for them. I'm most likely not going to move the zebra out of the 75g seeing how they finally settled in and stop fighting.

Leopard frog peckoltias are hard to come by.
Fish gallery, can order them, they really Rent that hard to breed either 5.9 ph, dense driftwood and meaty live foods, ie, blackworms, bloodworms, and mysis shrimp to get them in breeding condition, females are obviously rounder.

I bred mine a couple times a couple years ago.

Some where, probably on ky old computer, they were post ike, the along with my gold nuggets and l333 false king tigers died during te two weeks without power.

If you want a seriously challenging pleco to breed try lda33 true snowball Plecos, only a handful of people have ever breed them.
              These are my favorite species.

I'm not exactly trying to breed something hard. But I do prefer fish that can be bred overs that don't bc I think the breeding cycles are cool to see.

I'm just looking to build on my pleco connection. I have 5-6 different types in my other display tanks. I'll looking to do more sp. only tanks. Maybe 7-10 L134 or something nice for my elos.

Yes, I'm very interested in this small pleco. I've recently aqcuired a small group of them in hopes of getting them to breed.

I got mine from aquabid. Do you have another resource? If so, mind if I tag on for a group buy kinda thing?

I've had them for about 2 months total, however I just got another 3 last week. They're in a 40b, plenty of driftwood, tons of hiding spots, eheim 2217 & big sponge filter. Thinking what else I can add.

Looking into making some pleco cave @ the local pottery shop.
Where'd you get your slate caves in the L46 setup?

What type of plec was that in the youtube link?

There has been a number of threads on that over at plant catfish.

The fish is suppose to be a Leporacanthicus sp. out of Venezuela.

Some say it's a L240 with a different pattern. There has been reports of it being imported into Germany and Japan.

Here is a link to a German site.
