Weird question about a fahaka

Well I feed my fahaka nls stuffed shrimp, it swallows the chunk of shrimp and nls whole. This morning I noticed that it "releases" the whole piece of nls. I don't think its getting any benefit from the nls. It will not eat the nls by itself and if it feels the nls in the shrimp it will eat the shrimp around the nls and leave the pellet alone. Any ideas?

Soak it in Kent garlic extreme almost never fails plus it's good for him. Paitence is key he will when he's ready. Mine was a major exception.

I was gonna suggest garlic, too. A friend of mine did that with her puffer and it took about 2-3 weeks for it to really start taking the NLS, but now (several months later) it eats NLS even without the garlic!
