  • what is this?!

    i was doing a water change on my 3g pico tank and found this "thing" inside the tank?! anyone know what it is? only 1 cleaner shrimp and 2 small snails in the tank. havnt added anything in about a month. ive been focused on setting up my 29g biocube and kinda neglected this tank a bit. any help is appreciated. thanks

            +1 on brittle star. They're safe, but they do tend to multiply.

              i have witnessed them ambushing really small fish if they get large enough, the thing was falling on them from above. maybe it was just a particularly honery one. its not uncommon for them to hitchhike on LR since they can start out pretty small.

                  It's generally the large green serpent stars I've seen take down a clown and a few others. That there looks like a micro brittle which is really good to have in a tank especially a pico.

                    These micro brittle stars are awesome detrivores. Benefical species. If it reproduces I will buy some offspring from ya
