  • Live plants in fahaka tank?

Would it be wise to add live plants to a fahaka puffer tank? I don't know much about freshwater but I do have some experience with saltwater tanks. Would it be that easy? To just add a "potted" live plant to the aquarium...

    Yeah, I have a 3" Fahaka puffer in a 25g 24" L x 20" W x 12" T tank.

I have anubias nana and java moss in there right now, I'm planning on adding melon swords this Friday, I dose Kent pro marine iron & magnesium, and Kent marine pro plant, aswell as seachem Excel every 3 days.

He loves the cover they provide.

Just be sure filtration is over done as these guys are messy.
I have 2x eheim 2213 canisters, maxi jet pro 600 pump (750gph) and a 330gph powerhead attached to a hydro sponge filter.

Oh ok, sounds like I need to step up my filtration. So should I add a powerhead to the tank for flow? Sounds like you have quite a bit of flow in there...
