  • Growth on rock... help....

    sooo this is about the size of a dime, and its purple ish and blue and has little tentacles coming out of it.. pic is blurry but its the best i can do until i get a new phone.. can anyone tell me what it is? i threw food in the tank and it held onto some of it and curled in then swelled up.. and back to normal later..

            looks like a mohano anemone. but not totally sure given the pic. "they" say they are bad but honestly unless they move around alot and sting your other corals then no harm no foul. They do split often and you might end up with too many to your liking. however if its a FOWLR tank then it won't be an issue.

              Looks like a majano anemone.
              If it is, take a hypodermic syringe, fill it with kalk or joe's juice and inject a big glob into its body. Hopefully that will do it.
              Those things are pretty, but nasty, don't let it overtake your tank.
