What kind of snail is this?

Poor picture quality, sorry. What kind of snail is this? Anything I need to know about it? It has long antennae and a coiled shell.

I think I picked this stowaway up with some second hand plants.

If it's "tall and narrow", it's a ramhorn. If that's true, kill it. They multiply like crazy, and are common hitchhikers on plants. They don't need mates to reproduce, and 1 can turn into dozens before you know what happened.

If it's more round, then it could be a mystery snail. I doubt it, but it's a possibility. Get a pic of the snail either head on or from behind.

Yeah, scratch the whole possible mystery snail thing. You can tell by the shape of the foot (body that attaches to the substrate) that it's a ramhorn. Squish that thing...

I think it looks cool. Is it harmful? I have it in a planted shrimp tank.

If they multiply too quickly, I can find someone with a puffer to help me out. I also have a tank at the office with assasin snails.
