My budget for this is $1500 I would mainly be using it for taking pics of my fishes and while out field herping. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

I would start with finding the right physical size camera that fits your hands comfortably. Then look at the features of the cameras that that fit your hands and choose the features that you would most likely use. I would choose a used camera body (lots perfectly good used bodies out there) and buy the best lenses that I could afford that fit my requirements for taking pictures. Put your money into quality lenses! Yes, the lenses are expensive, but the lenses will serve you well for the rest of your life.
