  • Snails problem

I found some MTS recently and now I found some Rams horn today... I have 5 assassin snails but I think Ill need more or I need backup.

Here is whats in the tank.

It is a 30 g RCS, Guppy grow out, a Otto and a few Corydoras hastatus.

What can I put in the tank to back the assassins? Im pulling out all I see and squishing them.

Snails aren't necessarily a bad thing... If they have a population EXPLOSION all of a sudden, then that's simply an indication that something's wrong - most likely an issue with overfeeding. Otherwise, I have no problem at all having snails in each of my tanks. They're helpful most of the time, too. :)

If your fish are eating all that you put in within a couple minutes, then you're good.

Have you checked the nitrates on the tank?
