  • Whats in your cleaner crew?

Just as the title states. Tell us whats in your cleaner crew, and why?

    Mine consist of:

4-5 Blue leg hermit crabs (rock cleaners)
4-5 Scarlet reef hermit crabs (rock cleaners)
6-8 Cerith snails (cleans rocks and glass) Have 1,000s of babys now in my aquarium
1 Bumble bee snail (cleans rock and glass) got him with a group of ceriths at the pet store.
4 Nassarius snails (sand bed cleaners) will eat anything that falls to the sand bed.
1 Peppermint shrimp (eats any leftovers) Will even eat out of your hand, and will attack your hand for food.
1 Spider conch (will clean sand and even eat cynobacteria) Keeps the sand bed so fresh and clean. also is always in the open eating away at food/decaying matter in the sand bed. If you have a dirty sand bed i swear this guy can clean it spotless in a few weeks.

they're on the bottom more than they be on the glass. I hardly ever see them on the rock either.

In my 55gal H. Erectus tank, I have a bunch of nassarius, astrea, margarita & turbo snails, a small army of peppermint shrimp, emerald crabs and a linkia star.
I have given up on hermit crabs, they kill my snails & steal their shells.
IMO the peppermints do as good a job as the hermits in looking for uneaten food.
The algae snails & emerald crab take care of the algae (each one seems to like different kinds)
The nassarius stirs up my sandbed and keeps it nice and turned.
