Hows it going everyone!!??? Eric here!!! Well i'm back into aquariums again. Back when i lived with my parents they had a couple aquariums with Cichlids in it. Well, its been over 13 years since we have owned an aquarium. I live on my own now (26) and have been wanting one and went ahead and bought a 6 gallon on craigslist. Came with live plants and tropical fish and sand....WELL...then the aquarium bug bit me. I looked around and picked up a new 55 gallon fish tank with all accesories for a good price. Picking up some black sand this week and looking to get some big rocks, driftwood and more plants in there. Starting the 55gal with all small Cichlids. I know these are real common but i'm looking and PMed several people asking about fry the have.

but yea...wanted to say HI. If you guys advice or fish for sale to help out my tank please PM me.

here go some pix....tank is only a week old and i just put the fish in there today.

Welcome to the box. When I first started out I had some Melanochromis and I really liked them. They are mean little f'ers though. By the way this is only the beginning of the addiction we arent FA (Fishaholic Anonymous) we will only make your addiction worse. Good Luck

'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

                      Welcome to the box :)
I started with tanks after 22 yr hiatus and with a 3ft 58... 3 yrs later, and I am doing my last upgrade... removing my 42 and 70g tank and installing a 215.
You will be there soon enough :)
Have fun and again welcome to the box :)

We use to have a few Cichlids that would breed back in the day and we would raise them and take them to a local pet shop...I was the fish DR and would remove them from the mums mouth...I miss that stuff. Hopefully when these get a little bigger i can breed a couple. And i'm already thinking about my next size aquarium. But my 55 would have to go...ha ha ha....I'm use to the forum world two. I'm a member of a few forums and one being clublexus.com , so i'm use to increasing my spending because of you guys..ha ha....

                          thanx everyone!!!
