V bottom livebearer birthing chamber idea

There are several varieties of these available in retail stores.

Has anyone ever seen a small (5 or 10 gallon) partitioned using this principle so that the mom doesn't have to be relocated right before / during birth?

It seems to me this would be fairly simple to do with some plexiglass.

I don't want to reinvent the wheel here so links to designs would be appreciated.
