  • new tank...

Ive seen videos on youtube of loaches and tiger barbs in a brackish tank. Does anyone have experience with these fish in brackish conditions? I have both loaches and tiger barbs that I would transfer to my new brackish tank. I am starting the tank as freshwater to start especially as it cycles.

That video says nothing about how brackish the tank is. Could be that the owner just added a couple tablespoons of aquarium salt and called it brackish. You never know. It also doesn't say how long it has been running, and if there are any ill effects on the regularly freshwater fish in this "brackish" system.

Just some things to consider. :)
