Hey guys, names Steve. In Missouri City. Thought I'd introduce myself with an introduction post. Thought i had a user name here, but apparently not, don't wanna seem like an a$$ because I do have to sell some stuff, but plan on contributing here on the board as well :).

    history:

10 gallon tank (built in overflow/internal filter) had that for about 2-3 years when i was a kid

20 gallon long saltwater nano reef tank, had for a year until Ike hit. had a clam, sps corals, and 2 fish. Tank survived Ike then moved to a 10 gallon to my girlfriends house because they had power. ended up selling it due to i couldn't keep up with maintenance on such a small tank. was a project to see if i could get sps/coral growth from a 70w diy metal halide.

    current tanks:

~35 gallon oceanic bowfront set-up at my girlfriend's parents house been going on for about 2 years. started with blue gravel and 15 fish. now it's crowded at 20-30 but they are all getting along great. got seachem fluorite in there, a couple fake plants, but have some java fern. waiting to upgrade light to probably 25w PC spiral bulbs then i'll move on to some low-light plants. rarely do water changes on that one.

75 gallon oceanic tank, standard dimensions. bare bottom reef. mostly sps but i am going to slowly collect softies/lps. current inhabitants are, yellow tang, paired ocellaris clowns, skunk cleaner shrimp pair, blue chromis, and 2 lyretail anthias. set-up since May of this year.

will try and get pics of the bow front.

    thanks
    steve

I was like that when I first joined. I lurked for a while before posting. I think everyone does it. Now I do more reading here than posting cause I don't have fish at the moment. What kind of fish do you have in the 35?

hmm... I'd have to go over there and check, but from the top of my head:
7/11 neon tetras (dont know where the other 4 went? after i added a bunch of fake plants they disappeared; maybe someone got hungry)
                      2 emperor tetras (1 male, 1 female)
2 white skirt tetras (1 used to have a light pink hue, and the other green, they are both pretty much white now)
                      1 red molly
                      1-2 gold barbs?
                      1 gold dawrf? gourami
                      5-6? rosy barbs

i thought i had more, but that sounds about right. may donate the rosy barbs to someone here or the LFS. wanting to get some oto's and glass catfish.

filtering is done by an emperor 400. food = tetramin? crisps or flakes

Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places?
