  • My new puffers! Carinotetraodon lorteti

    I got these from Andri on Friday. I fell in love with them when I went over to his apartment to go help pick up some stuff with Geoff. So, I came back a couple days later and left with these two and their tank. :) They're absolutely beautiful, and I love having fish that look at me! Don't get me wrong, I love all my fish, but these guys are just so full of personality!

    Anyways, this is them in their tank. The tank literally went from Andri's place to my car to my apartment, and I haven't done anything since then - so all the silt and stuff on the plants is from the ride home. :) I've had a very busy weekend.

    Enjoy!

    The female:

    The male. I know some of the pictures aren't the best, but I wanted everyone to be able to see all of his colors, so I left some of the blurry ones in:

                      His dorsal is actually pretty red, but I think the lighting and my camera settings didn't really show it too well. But yeah, I'll look forward to it if you say it'll be more red! :) They're both so pretty.

                      Thanks, everyone!

                      MJ - I love the troph man, doesn't that count??

                        )

                        On another note: you save my petro's life! He came around to the hair algae the next day. Today I mixed some nori in with the algae and he took that too. He takes straight nori now. Hopefully flakes and then pellets!

                          Myjohnson, you trying to convert people to the "troph" side?

                          Since mine committed trophicide, does that make me immune to your powers?

                              Believe me, if I had space to set up another tank, I'd get a pair myself.
