Went to gallery today and they had a puffer that I cannot remember the name of.........Don said there are only 6 available in the US right now and Gallery has two of them and believe it or not one of them sold. They were very cute and kind of similar to the Mbu. Neat fish, but I can't imagine paying that much.

Could it be Tetraodon Pustulatus (Cross River Puffer), has burgandy or red spots? This is the rarest puffer that I know of.

I have heard too many times that a cross river puffer has turned out to be a fahaka puffer. It's very very rare to get one that never turns it's spots to stripes. I wouldn't do that to the hubby. Besides I have to go the other way this weekend. I have a nephew graduating in Louisiana. If it's a true Cross River they won't last long.Originally posted by Zulaab View Post

LOL, after I took a nap I remembered the name, but thankfully Tim remembered first! Cross River was it. They were both cute. My understanding is that Mattress Mack's wife is the person who bought one.KarenComment

What you do is tell them I will buy the matress if you can throw in that cheap little puffer in the tank over there.. its so cute but I will not buy the mattress without it.. then return the mattress, unless you really need one of those too :)
