  • what kind of fish goes well with my flowerhorn?

Im about to move my flowerhorn from a 29gal to a 75 gal. i was wondering what kind of fish i can have together with my flowerhorn? some people told me other cichlids? or blood parrots? another person told me i could put a jardini in there too? this is my first flowerhorn, so i need help. my flowerhorn is about 5 in.

Flowerhorns as they get bigger get SUPER aggressive. Unless you keep a fish the same size as them, they are going to rip them the shreds. Most people can keep a breeding pair in a tank and that is about all the fish you are going to keep

    What fish do Jesper have
180 WC T. Moorii Chilambo +1 Petro trewavasae.
    110
Cyps, WC Xeno Spilopterus Kipili WC/F1/F2 T. sp red Kiku
    58 S. Decorus

          Kevin,

You just have to work with the fish and try them out. Its just like people not all people get along, its like the box, you eventually see what i mean. My fish is sleeping at the moment but i will share with you what I have going on. I try to shoot a vid when i get a chance.

I would not put a Jardini in with the flowerhorn, that jardini is gonna get shredded.

The blood parrots is a good idea though.

                Lots of guppies
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

it depends, not all flowerhorns are agressive....if yours is then go for something central american...such as somethings in the parachromis,nandopsis,amphilo,etc......depending on size of tank and overall agression you can even put stuff like convicts!!

I say keep it alone. you don't want anything happening to it's fins or scales. maybe something armored like a rafael catfish to clean up the bottom

you could try pacu, but they grow faster than fh and might turn and hurt the fh... silverdollars are ok if there is enough of them and enough room... I agree on blood parrots, they seem to be ok
