flowerhorns pairing up

  • flowerhorns pairing up

    they are only 3" but have paired up and are diggin a pit. they got all the other ones on one side of the tank. aren't they too young? one is a red flame and the male is a red dragon. should i stop them from breeding? any FH experts in here....

    Only stop them if you don't want them to breed or have no where to raise the fry. Otherwise, they may be of age to breed. Judging by the parents, you should get a brood of nice fry.

      Im mainly concerned about stunting their growth. also they are two different strains not sure what the outcome would look like.

        For me, that's the beauty of it all...just not knowing the outcome.

        How would you stunt their growth?

          Breeding takes a toll on fish.... like having to grow up or mature faster then normal.

              they now have a 75g to them selves.
