    HoustonFishBox is moving

    I've been talking about changing hosts and also the software the forum runs on for a couple of weeks now.  The time is very close.  Unfortunately, HFB will have to be offline during this transition.  I know, I know...it's painful.  But I've been running through some test migrations so I can work out any issues that might come up and prolong our downtime.  

    Since there really isn't a time when most of us are offline anyway, I'm going to try to get started either tonight or this weekend.  It all depends on when I know I'll have a few uninterrupted hours to do it.  My goal is to keep HFB offline for the shortest possible amount of time.

    So...having said all that...

    If you attempt to visit HFB sometime over the next few days and find that it is offline, that means I'm in the middle of the transition.

    If you attempt to visit HFB sometime over the next few days and it looks a little different when you login, that means I'm done...and probably sleeping.

                  All joking aside, I'm doing a full backup of HFB before doing anything.  That's why we have to go offline and be offline for a few hours.  Moving that much data takes quite a bit of time.  Don't worry...I'm takin' care of you'all.   :)

                    just know I have your number on speed dial.. so if I start getting withdrawls you know I am calling you just so I can come over and sit infront of tanks and calm down :P

                            You will know when it happens.  The site will look different.  You may not see the blocks on the sides at first, the colors may be different, and a little at a time new features will start popping up.  :)
