  • Rescheduled East Texas Herpetological Society's Breeder Expo

Here are the details on the rescheduled Annual East Texas Herpetological
Society's Breeder Expo.  We hope to see you there!

The 18th Annual East Texas Herpetological Society's Breeder Expo and
Educational Exhibit will be held Sunday, November 16th at the
Brookhollow Crowne Plaza Hotel, located at 12801 Northwest Freeway (Hwy
    290) in Houston. It is the largest herp sale in our area and will offer
thousands of captive bred reptiles and amphibians as well as cages,
books and supplies from 60 vendors coming from as far away as New York,
California and Florida in 8000+ square feet of exhibitor space. The Expo
will be open to the public from 11 AM until 5 PM and admission at the
door will be: Adults $6, Children Under 12 $3, Infants free.

GCTTS will operate an educational booth at this heavily attended event,
and we welcome any GCTTS member volunteering to help us with this event.
We provide a turtle and tortoise exhibit, answer questions to those
stopping by our table and hand out educational material. In the past,
some GCTTS members have volunteered for the entire day, some for half
the day, and some for just an hour. We are asking that anyone wishing to
exhibit their turtles or tortoises allow them to be there at least half
the day from 10:00 to 1:30, 1:30 to 5:00 or all day. And we are also
looking for set-up help at 9 AM. If you can help man our booth or
exhibit animals, please send an email to Brian Wallace at info@gctts.org
and let us know in advance! There will be no charge for admission to the
    educational room.

This event offers an excellent opportunity for GCTTS members to meet
with many reptile breeders in the surrounding area and to assist people
seeking information regarding turtles & tortoises. It also gives GCTTS
members a chance to get to meet other members of GCTTS and exchange
ideas and information regarding turtle & tortoise husbandry.
