  • CARBON FILTER

    I've been using these for a while but the water trickled down. this one up flows. 2 bottles so i can fill twice as fast.

        I took pictures of mine but guess I never posted the pictures for ya, sorry.

        I will bring it along to the meeting if you wanna check it out, have to replace the media in it so you can see the workings.

          so the carbon filter cleans all the chlorine and stuff out of the water while refilling?

            yea it will remove total chlorine. no more wasting money on Amquel. it probably removes alot of other bad stuff. EK- yea bring it to the meeting.

              if its only for refills why hang it in the tank isn't that kind of and eye sore.

                who cares what it looks like for the 1 hr i refill the tank. the reason it's built this way is simplicity. just did a 150 gal wc on the 350 gal pond and this sucker works good. i think i spent $5.00 on this not including $15.00 for activated carbon. in 1 yr i will change out bottles with new carbon for another $15.00. good bye Amquel!

                  so you only leave it on while refilling, i was assuming you left it on there 24/7. that was the point of my post. i agree good filter and good job making it.

                        I'm guessing the carbon bottles have small holes in the bottom of them...???

                        Good question though, I was going to ask the same thing...

                          yea 5- 1/4 holes. water bubbles out the top which is the bottom of the bottle. i will post pic tonite with it running.
