  • Second Colony Impact on Breeding

How much does the above reduce breeding success--cuts it in half, more, less?

    Thanks.

Very dependent on the fish but from what I have seen.....cuts to almost zero.

Thanks for the input--get too much kick out of the breeding to risk it.

Delock,  what's the timing on the Cherries?

Re: Second Colony Impact on Breeding

In my tank with Three Colonies, I get Duboisi to produce fry regularly.

I have not have any Red Saddle fry in 2 years.

I have about 8-10 Katoto fry a year.

In my tank where I have 2 colonies, I have about 10 fry a month from the Ikola, and 3-5 on the Kiku.

In my tanks where I have single colonies, I produce 15-30 per month if I save them all.
