  • Best of the Eheims...

Okay guys...I'm getting rid of the rena xp3. I can't stand the way that the intake tube and spry nozzle look. BLEH.
So, I think I'm going to go ahead and buy a new eheim canister filter.

What do yall think is good?
I need one for my mom's 100 gallon bowfront and one for my 100 gallon.

    So far...I'm thinking it's between:

Eheim 2227 Wet/Dry (I dont know if this will be okay while using a CO2 system)
    Eheim Pro II 2128
    Fluval FX5

I'm open to suggestions though...I just want something dependable.
Also, does anyone know where I can buy some suction cups?

I would pick the ProII or go hit up Dan @HAW he has those awesome Pro3e's which are super cool! or go with a 2250/2262

    The others suck.
Fish RanchII has eheim suction cups.

why get ride of a great filter? make your own intake & return out of pvc. dye it black with rite dye. but if you have the money go ahead and spend hundreds of dollars on a lotta fluff. i have foam filters that do more boi -filtering for $25.00 than those high dollar wastes of money. JMO.

I love the Eheim pro II's great filter.

But....if it is just the tubes that are bothering you you can get third party kits which are transparent.

I am using the Marineland Magnum 350 intake on mine and with the output I just ditched the "prime" part.

I like the ones with the thermometer built in. Its kinda cool. So basically...I should stick with an Eheim.
