  • connecting air pump to ornament???

I'm new at all of this so bare with me.. I just started my fish tank two days ago, I purchase the hydro ario air pumpand the top fin dragon for my 55 gal. Im having a hard time getting air bubble out of the ornament. The air pump has only one air hole,  i used a three way valve to connect the ornament to it and still not getting any air out of the dragon. Did i do something wrong or my pump is not powerful enough( quote on the site up to 80 gal). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Connect a 4'+ piece of tubing to the air pump and plug the pump in.
start with the other end of the tubing at the top of the tank and as long as you get bubbles lower it.
When you stop getting bubbles back up a bit higher.
That is the maximum "HEAD" pressure of your air pump.
If the pump will not make bubbles it is broken, return it.
If it will blow bubbles at the bottom of your tank then check the other air tubing for a plug (blow in it)
check the valve manifold for a plug and check your ornamants, filters & air stones for plugs.
If you have no plugs then you must have a leak or open valve that is letting the air escape.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

FYI, you don't really even need an air pump if your filters are good.
I ate my fish that died.

Something about the bubbles letting the CO2 escape.  :(
