  • Tropheus moorii Golden Kazumba

Has anybody here ever owned some Tropheus moorii Golden Kazumba by chance? I was wondering because I was thinking about purchasing some of them.  Also is there such a thing as them being raised and shipped from africa as F1's at about 1.5 - 2". Your info would be much appreciated.

    They are pretty nice fish.
I still have some in a tank.
Burundi may be pond raising these now as well, but i don't deal with them.
As for the classification of F1's, who knows.

They said they were being raised in Burundi Africa. How many do you have left?

                Re: Tropheus moorii Golden Kazumba

Golden Kazumba is a really nice fish, it has long been said to be the poor man's Ilangi.

Them and Chilanga.  Chilanga is more Ilangi orange/red and Golden Kazumba is more Ilangi like yellow.

                Hope that helps...

What is their aggression level like? I like all the yellow on the bodies, well according to the pictures that I have seen. I was enjoying the discussion that ya'll were having it was very intresting!

                      Re: Tropheus moorii Golden Kazumba

IF you want to read it, it is still there in the Burundi Farms - Discussion thread.

Golden Kazmumba, and Chilanga are going to have typical Moorii agression similiar to what your keeping now.

I would try to get atleast 15 if not 20 to start a group with.

Golden Kazumba is a nice fish, you could not go wrong with them.

Yeah I want to get atleast 20 of them to start of with. We have a 100 gallon that is fixing to be open and we want to fill it with some nice trophs.

                          Is this 100 gallon tank a 5ft tank or a 4ft tank?

                              In my 5ft long 115 gallon (60" x 18" x 24") I have 28 Annectens.

It is a little crowded in there.

I would not put more than 24 fish.  My 28 are a bit stuffed in there.
