  • Yasuhikotakia (Botia) sidthimunki?

Has anyone ever read an account of the reproduction of these guys? I could almost swear mine have been spawning over the past couple of weeks. Last night I tried to get a video, but it didn't turn out too well. Tried again, and the timer for the lights went off! Grr. I'm going to try again tonight, but I'd like to know if anyone's documented any spawning behavior before.

    Thanks.

I've found only this so far, but unfortunately it doesn't describe any of the behavior. Pretty cool, though!

So are you saying we should be seeing some fry pictures soon? Pretty cool....

Not necessarily! I'm wondering if they're actually spawning or not...and trying to find any documentation at all that describes how they spawn.

Well, they "stayed in" last night, so I didn't see any of this activity - hence, no video. But, I'm still looking for spawning accounts. If you see any, let me know! Please!  :)

I searched the internet and all I could find was "secret".    I couldn't find a thing!    Now you have my intrest peaked.

I know! It's frustrating. I'm now looking for genus and family spawning accounts...which aren't too common out there, either!
